Live Biosonification of Mushrooms

I was asked to perform at the inaugural ‘All Things Fungi’, a festival dedicated to the humble mushroom in Sussex, south of London. I duet-ed with a Lion’s Mane and Reishi mushrooms using biosonification to convert the electrical signals from the fungi into MIDI notes, and then running through a synthesiser and array of effects and pedals. The results were incredible, with each mushroom giving me a different output and being quite provocative at times! Thanks to Fat Fox Mushrooms and the Bristol Fungarium for their wonderful fungi!
