Fungi Forms, Edinburgh, August 2024

Fungi are responsible for life on land as we know it and integral to sustained living on earth.

They are a perpetual inspiration for artists. Through music, literature, fashion, design, scent and visual art, Fungi Forms is curated to take visitors to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh on a spectacular journey, exploring fungi in science, culture and innovation.

I created a sound installation for the exhibition, connecting a synthesiser with a Reishi fungi through a biosonification device. The installation helped visitors listen to the electrical impulses that the fungi emits, constantly evolving and in a rapid process of growth and decomposition.
